Typing test help
- Start Below the test area are links to different texts. Select text, click 'start' button, and begin typing.
- Space Click the \"toggle spaces\" button to choose 1 or 2 spaces after a period. Default is 1.
- Cursor The cursor must remain in the input box during the test. Click or touch the box if it looses focus.
- Enter Do not hit Enter/Return key at the end of a line.
- Timing Timing of a test begins when a key is pressed, and ends when last character is correctly typed.
- Errors Errors are highlighted with the exception of blank space. Errors typing a blank space are counted but not highlighted.
- Wpm Words per minute = number of characters (including typed blank spaces and punctuation) typed per minute divided by 5.
- Cpm Characters typed per minute (including typed blank spaces and punctuation).
- Word 1 word = 5 characters. Blank spaces and punctuation count as characters.
- Post Results can be posted only if entire text is typed.
